Tips for Securing the Web Communication during Server Project Modification
- ●
- To secure the Web communication note that you can only use the certificates (Host/Self-signed) available in the Windows Certificate store.
- ●
- The default certificate used for securing the Web communication is the Host certificate, which is set as default certificate. However, you can modify this to select another host/self-signed certificate available in the Windows Certificate store.
- ●
- The selected Host certificate must be either a full computer name, short name or an IPv4 IP address. You can also use wildcard and multi-host certificates. The certificate must have a private key and be marked as exportable.
- ●
- The Host certificate (along with its private key, which is marked as exportable) or the self-signed certificate must be imported in the Personal store of the Local machine certificates store of the Windows Certificate store and set as default.
