Verifying Existing Certificate to be Used during Website Creation
During website creation, you need to provide a certificate for securing the communication between the Web/Windows App Clients and the Web Server. Before creating the website, you should verify the existing certificate (self-signed or host) to be used for website creation. Alternatively, you can also create a self-signed certificate which is then used for securing the communication.
Perform this step only if you want to use the existing self-signed or host (SMC created or customer) certificate.
Step-by-Step
Verify that the self-signed certificate that you want to use during website creation is set as default.
Verify that the certificate (host or self singed) you want to use during website creation is available in the Personal, as well as the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store of Local machine certificates. Otherwise, a chain validity message displays. This message always displays if you use a host certificate for creating a website. Ignore this warning and do one of the following; click Run, if using the web client, or click Install, if using the Windows App client.
