Scenario: You want to have secured access to the project using the web client (web browser) and Windows App clients on the local server or on the remote web server (IIS). For working with Web/WindowsApp clients, you must first install and configure the web server (IIS). You must then create a website and a Web Application using SMC hosted on the web server (IIS). By browsing the website/Web Application URL, the Desigo CC web page displays. You can launch the web or Windows App clients by clicking the respective thumbnails.

If you are accessing the Web/WindowsApp clients locally, then it is not necessary to secure communication between the server and IIS since IIS is installed locally on the management platform server. However, for launching the Web/WindowsApp client on a remote web server (IIS), you must secure the communication between the server and IIS. It is recommended that you secure the communication with the self-signed certificate.
