Starting a Project

- At least one active project is available under Projects node in SMC tree.
- ▷
- The project is stopped and has unique port numbers.
- ▷
- (Only applicable for Projects on FEP)
- You have copied and imported the same Windows key file, as that on the Server computer, on the disk of the FEP computer.
- You have re-aligned the Client/FEP Project with the updated project on the Server.

- In the SMC tree, select Projects > [project].
- 2.
- Click the Project Settings tab.

- Project Settings displays.

- The Pmon service in the Windows services starts which in turn starts the project.

- There can be multiple running projects in SMC. However you must take a note of the following:
- –
- The number of started projects are equal to number of Desigo CC licenses.
- –
- Starting multiple projects on the Desigo CC server/client/FEP installations can make the system slow. It is recommended that you start only the required project.
- ●
- You cannot start a project:
- –
- That has the same port numbers as another started project.
- –
- That uses the same Event and Data ports as the active project, even if the active project is stopped. The solution is to activate the project you are about to start.
- ●
- If a project (usually an upgraded project) has an extension module configured which is not installed, a warning message displays. In this case, it is recommended to install the missing extension module before starting the project.
